Radical or Rational?

20 March 2010

Here’s an idea that I believe is worth considering:

Structural engineers who design building structures should have a basic working knowledge of building science, and how a building’s structure influences heat transfer through the building envelope.

Radical or rational?

Common sense or controversial?

Or all four?

Please let me know what you think.

One Response to “Radical or Rational?”

  1. Toby Nadel Says:

Radical and rational,Common sense and more controversial than I would have guessed from yesterday’s comments.

    Now it appears that:
    a. Some engineers want to do their thing, and not that other ‘stuff’
    b. One engineer at least (you) see the intergrated and interactive roles all BS (building science) disciplines have in relation to each other, for the aim of a better built environment
I don’t want to sit in a circle. hol;d hands, and sing “Koom ba yah” (I never did own a dashkik)
